I have always loved photography, and when it went digital, I knew I had to try it. I bought a cheap camera and loved it. I experimented with Photoshop and other imaging programs and decided this was for me. I made the purchase of a great Canon SLR camera and through trials and triumphs here I am, continually learning and improving.

I can completely forget about problems when I am out in nature, concentrating on the perfect image and correct camera settings.

People loved my work and I was asked to show my photography in a few local Art Shows.
Lots of compliments and purchases and so I thought I'd give Etsy a try! I also have a gallery at Betterphotos.com DonnaBedermann. My workshop is just a computer, camera and lenses, and the beautiful world!

My mother has been sewing since she was a small child and sewing was always something I was into. Another passion my mother and I share is photography. So naturally I gravitated towards this as well. Recently I was on a family vacation and wandered into a quilt shop with my mother and found these awesome bags that were basically leftover quilts I guess you could say, but they had been turned into tote bags.

I bought two of them and decided "these are pretty easy to make, I can do this" and Excess Baggage Solutions was born right there. As time went on I thought of other things I could offer as well and started trying to get those out there.

I've had people ask me about buying my photographs before and was always very flattered so I decided to offer some of them here on Etsy. I take pictures of a wide variety of things and I've been toying with the idea of auto-related photographs as well because I do have quite a collection of them.

Everything that I sew, I sew right in my own dining room and I get a lot of feedback and commentary from friends and family and all that only helps to make me put out a better caliber of product.

My name is Adrienne and I opened StudioHaus this past March and have been loving the outlet that Etsy has provided me ever since! I think my passion for being creative has been with me since the day I was born. As a child, I spent summers with my grandparents in a small town in Oklahoma. My Grannie would crochet and do creative projects with me while my Papa would take me in his wood shop and help me create anything that I could think up. They are a lot of the inspiration when I’m out taking photos because they really taught me to appreciate all the little things. I think I really discovered that my biggest creative passion was photography when I worked at a portrait studio for about three years. However, I love to dabble in lots of creative projects and try my hand at many things. That’s the reason you will see a variety of items from photography prints to handcrafted envelopes and cards in my shop!

I began art studies at a young age, and have been experimenting with art processes and media ever since. During the time I was pursuing my photography based art degree I witnessed meteoric changes within the photographic world. While the once commanding darkroom was being replaced by the newest computer lab, prosperous photography businesses were closing their doors forever.

I both embraced and questioned the digital world photography was being assimilated into. I delved further into the basic concepts of photography; where it came from, what it meant, and where it was going. Pondering the root words photo meaning light and graph meaning to write, I began exploring the concept of literally writing with light. I developed various methods of painting using light on photosensitive paper, and designed a tool for this purpose. A US patent is pending for both the tool and process by which I create. I couple cutting edge technology with the most archaic of photographic processes, blending painting and photography, creating art with an innovative medium. Spending summers in Portland, Oregon and winters in Bend, Oregon, I live with my husband, Tony, and our dog, Syan. I own and operate Lux Art LLC and teach photography at Central Oregon Community College.
