I have always loved jewelry for as long I as I can remember. I have always wanted to be a volcanologist... well since 3rd grade... before that I wanted to be a marine biologist; needless to say I was a very odd child. I was always picking up rocks and toting them home. Instead of playing at the playground I would look in the gravel they had on it for hidden "treasures". Starting around Jr. year of high school I found a great little shop in the town where I worked at the time. It was a bead supply and jewelry shop. You can imagine what happened next.. yup thats right I found out that I can make great jewelry with my amazing little "treasures" that I had collected over the years. Ever since that day I have never been able to get enough of it.. I love all types of designs and all types of mediums. My personal favorite is of course stones and natural items but I am really starting to expand my wirework.

I got my business name because of the pond at my moms house. The neighbor boy saw that some feeder goldfish got thrown out to die and he tried to save them by putting them in our pond. Well save them he did. It just so happens feeder goldfish are a low oxygen carp and guess what kind of pond we have, thats right a low oxygen pond. My family is now the proud owers of hundreds of feeder goldfish is all colors and sizes.

I started my business by making jewelry for the people I worked with and it grew from there. What was once a way to make money on the side is now my full fledged business trying to make it out in the big wide world. I recently just started to sell on etsy after a lot of prodding for my wonderful and understanding man, Wes. He always believes in my talent and that I really do offer a great and unique quality of work that isn't often seen. (he even helps with designs sometimes)

I have been making jewelry now for aobut 4 years. I am always trying new techniqes. I love to learn whether its a new wire work skill or my love of useless trivia (for example.... the fastest flying bird in level flight is the Swift yet the fastest diving bird is the Perrigin Falcon :O)
Right now my favorite things to work with would be copper and pearls I just love the color combinations.

Im constantly asked, how do you make that , or where do you come up with that... and the answers really suprise most people. I draw my inspiration for new designs from literally everything. My dog .. tv shows, movies, sayings, pictures.. you name it...but a great fail safe for me is my dog Gudio. See photo .. he never lacks any excitement or energy... you can thank him for quite a few of my designs :O)

I hopefully will be in business still when I am 90 because I truly do love to design and make unique pieces for others to enjoy. I find my inspiration for many of my desings from everyday things... while on a walk or playing with my dog, or just hanging out with my family or my guy. The world is endless when it comes to new ideas to design into jewelry.

I'm not the one to ask for organization ideas... my beading space is where ever I am :O) But I know a fun one for packing bracelets for travel... is using a paint roller pad because its soft and helps protect them from moving around.Well that is enough about me I will leave you with my favorite quote " well behaved women seldom make history ". I am a SAHM mom to twins who will be four next month and wife to a supportive husband of almost 10 years. I have been papercrafting for about 11 years now.

I have always loved being creative as long as I can remember. So it should have been no surprise when I was introduced to rubber stamping through an at home party I would be hooked.

Since my start I have expanded to work on all sorts of crafts. I started my Etsy shop last September figuring I can start to add all my greeting cards to the shop. Since then though I have tried to expand that a bit to include other “papercrafted” items.

 I have a few categories in my shop right now which included Greeting cards, Magnets, Pendants and Gifts. I love Etsy, everyone who buys and sells on the site are wonderful and the fact that it is an all handmade items site is amazing.

I create greeting cards of all types and sizes, and can personalize each card to the likeness of the customer. I have been making cards and other paper crafts for the last eight years now, and have loved every minute of it! My sister and I often get together to create cards, handmade envelopes, and tags for Craft Fairs, etsy, friends, and various buyers. I also create magazine bowls which can take hours to make, but the end process is worth it!

My craft studio is in a spare bedroom of my house, and can be a chore to keep organized, but I know where everything is…almost. If anyone feels that crafting can be expensive, there can be ways to work around this- rummaging through garage sale deals and thrift stores is one of them. I have found my best deals at local garage sales! A favorite quote of mine is “Don’t think it, create it”!

I think I'm a bit of an Etsy fraud - I'm no artist and there are so many talented people out there making beautiful things. I'm a mum, a University student and a knitter. I have been knitting since I was tiny - taught by my grandma whilst babysitting. For me knitting has almost meditative qualities, it's one of the few things that I find truly relaxing. MouthyMitts started very recently with no planning whatsoever. It developed out of a glass of wine too many over dinner, which is a story for another day.

The result was that I knitted a pair of mittens for my daughter (aged 13) who insisted on wearing them to school the next day - a very hot and sunny day as it happens. Next thing I know she's bringing orders home from school and it developed from there. Now I'm on Etsy. Organisation? There is none. I knit when I watch TV in the evening, when I'm out with the children, whenever there's a few minutes. I always keep some wool, needles and designs in a bag that I can just pick up and take with me. I keep some graph paper in there too so I can work out designs and make a note of new words etc. It's amazed me what a conversation starter knitting is too. As I sit in the park/hospital/library with my five needles on the go, so many people come over to ask what I'm doing. Anyway the shop is very new and we're not in mitten weather yet but in the meantime I'm doing something I enjoy and for me enjoyment is key. Hello! My name is Becky and I’m a new stay-at-home mom to my lovely daughter Lucy. I started Owly Baby when she was 2 months old because I was bored of sitting at home while she napped. I was used to working 70+ hours a week, so the stay-at-home lifestyle has been quite a change for me and my family. My husband is a professional baseball player and soon-to-be Lutheran pastor (ELCA). We are *almost* in transition between his two professions and a move to a nearby town. Just like most of the readers out there…I love to create. I’ve been a lifelong crafter, drifting in and out of painting, scrapbooking, jewelry making and sewing. Our apartment in very “cozy” (i.e. small) and my workspace is our kitchen table. This means that to eat dinner, I’ve got to put away the sewing machine and tools! It really forces me to be organized. I am very lucky to get a sewing room in our new home later this month. YAY!One of my best organizational tips is to put all small, related items together in a plastic or net bag. I then hang the bags in my closet for easy storage. Because the bags are see-through, it’s very easy to grab what you need! As a sewing tip, I love to use masking tape to take out a whole row of stitches at once or to clean up stray threads. What I enjoy most about sewing is making my own patterns and trying out new ideas, so I tend to have a lot of one-of-a-kind items. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, I have so many new ideas I *try* to write them all down. I’d guess that only 70% of my ideas make it to paper and only 10% of those ever see the sewing machine.
