I'm Missfleurette from Spain. I started 10 years ago making beaded bracelets and necklaces for my friends and me. Now I mostly make tons of one-of-a-kind polymer clay goodies (cellphone charms, keychains, pendants, earrings...) but felt brooches and other kinds of jewelry are also my passion. I make my own jewelry and accessories!



I usually create food that I don't eat (my boyfriend is a nutritionist..hehe) and I've recently started creating what we usually eat here, such as nutella sandwiches or some other typical cakes :).

Even though I have been a metalsmith for a few years, I continue classes in advanced metal fabrication. And, I always learn something new!My Studio is in a spare room in our house. The windows face East so most days start off just beautifully. It also makes taking photos of my jewelry so much easier because I shoot them on a cabinet just under the window.

While I'm working, I am either listening to loud music or have the TV on HGTV.I've got everything I need to create jewelry from start to finish. Our main computer is also in the room.If I want to be in the living room with my husband in the evening, I have a small desk in there that I can use to work on design or sawing and filing.

Here is the gorgeous piece created by our featured artist Sherry!

Sherry from The Silver Lake Studio describes how she created this gorgeous piece:

It is a little under 2" tall and a little over an inch wide. It is marked .925. The heavy guage jump ring on top is soldered on, so it should never come loose. Now let me tell you how this was created. First I drew a picture of the heart on some sterling silver sheet metal and sawed it out by hand. Using files and sandpaper, I cleaned it up and made everything smooth. Then I made a spiral out of some sterling wire. The back of the wire swirl had to be sanded flat so it would make complete contact with the heart. Then, I soldered the wire onto the heart. Next, I soldered the jump ring on top. Then I ran it thru the tumbler for 2 hour, and added patina to the inside. Finally I added some texture to make it pop. This is a technique I developed and I call it "Sparkle Brushed". This is my own original design and it cannot be copied in any way.
