Just Believe in Yourself

You will love this quaint little shop, BedBuggs Boutique http://www.etsy.com/shop/bedbuggs , so whimsical and enchanting.
"I love the idea of sharing my creativity with the world, and I love seeing everyone else's ideas,
 they're so inspiring.
by Bed Buggs Boutique
Creativity is in my blood, my dad is an Artist by profession and my mother is the craftiest person I know. I’m a Stay at home mom, and determined to keep it that way. All my inspiration comes from my BedBuggs (nickname for my two kids).

I love to create cute and unique items to make them smile. I’m fortunate to have a workspace built in a closet in our family room so I can keep a close eye on my “BedBuggs” while I create, and when I’m done I can close the doors to keep them out.

I’ve found that Organization is crucial when it comes to creativity. When my space is disorganized so are my thoughts.

My motto: “Just Believe in yourself”.

I Grew to Absolutely LOVE it!

Meet Cari and her quaint shop Designs by Cari http://www.etsy.com/shop/cari4jc1 where you will find wonderful "handmade crochet accessories like the popular mary jane slippers, headbands, mug cozies and more. These are fun, modern and up-to-date pieces that will add a little something special to your wardrobe and home."

by Designs by Cari
Hello! Allow me to introduce myself…my name is Cari. I’m an almost 27 year old wife and stay at home mother of 2 boys, Dakotah and Kaiden, who will be 5 and 2 in April.

If you would have told me a few years ago that I would have a crochet business I probably would have laughed. Both of my parents were crafty. My Dad had a pottery business and my Mom had a sewing business, but I had zero interest in crafts. I actually picked up crochet as a “pregnancy project” while pregnant with Kaiden. At the time I just wanted to make him a baby blanket, but then I ended up making him a hat and booties and somewhere along the line I just couldn’t stop. I grew to absolutely LOVE it! I guess my parents passed their craftiness onto me…it just kicked in a little late.

Aside from being with my family, my 2 favorite places to be are in the yarn store and sitting in “my spot” on the couch crafting my next crochet project. At night when I lay in bed trying to go to sleep I can’t help but think about what I’m going to make the next day. I’m constantly thinking of colors and color combinations and ways to make things better. I get so excited every time I make something new. I always think that it’s the cutest thing I’ve made so far, but of course I think the same thing after finishing my next project too.

My goal is to pass on a little happiness with each pair of slippers or headband or mug cozy I make. I hope that as the customer is using their new beauty that they are smiling.

Two Best Friends

Enjoy a visit to the enchanting Yellow Elm Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/YellowElm . Yellow Elm is a craft studio specializing in handmade felt fashion, created by two equally enchanting Etsians ,Elizabeth and Melissa. Enjoy reading about their enduring friendship and creative endeavours.

by Yellow Elm
We are Elizabeth and Melissa, two best friends who met over chips at the 4th grade lunch table. Very conveniently, we fell in love with brothers...Melissa met the love of her life at Elizabeth's wedding, who just happened to be the grooms brother. We make creative accessories for the trend-setter. Our pieces are all hand-felted using wool from a small farm in Tennessee, and we emphasize the use of found objects and repurposed materials in our work. Yellow Elm headbands, brooches, hair pins, and clutches are the perfect statement pieces to add to any outfit. We create what we love, and so it's easy to be excited about our product and spread the word.

Our work space is a work-in-progress. In our heads, we work in a very chic studio with modern artwork on the walls, big windows, and comfy, bright patterned chairs to sit in while we stitch. We have big metal tubs for felting, beautiful vintage teapots to heat up our water for tea time and felt-making, and clean, organized supply shelves. Throw in a darling desk for bookkeeping, the latest Anthropologie catalog, and some Nora Jones. In reality, our coffee tables, closets, and bedrooms are bursting with supplies and inventory. Someday we'd love to have our own studio/boutique. But for now, we are happy letting Yellow Elm crowd up our lives.
